HOUSED

Good Sam’s volunteers and staff understand that life’s challenges, job loss, unexpected medical expenses, car repairs, and family emergencies can necessitate additional help. We recognize that asking for that help is sometimes difficult, so Good Sam is here to help you navigate these challenges by providing supplemental food assistance for your household and resource referrals for other needed services.

Good Sam is a non-profit food pantry providing supplemental food assistance for families and individuals without residency or income requirements. We do not offer rent, utility, or other assistance.

“How do I receive food?”

Guests may receive food Monday -Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon. Simply come to Good Sam’s little blue house and join the guest line on the front porch. There will be a short online form to complete when you arrive for new guests and annually thereafter. We request that you bring a picture id and a list of names and birthdates of all members in the household.

You may complete the new guest form online prior to your arrival at goodsamofgarland.link2feed.com

“How often and how much food will I receive?”

Guests are eligible to receive supplemental food assistance every two weeks. As available, dry goods, meat, produce, dairy, breads and sweets are provided.

“Do you offer paper products, household products, or pet food?”

Good Sam offers paper products, household products and pet food as they are available. Being dependent on our retail donations for distribution, we may or may not have these items on hand.

“What will I need to bring to receive food?”

A form of identification is requested.
